We made the cover.

pub-7-cover5002‘Made’ as in: we are on the cover of Pub (one of the 2 printed marketing industry magazines) because we made the cover. Marc Anthierens, Pub’s editor in chief, asked us to visualize this month’s theme ‘Marketing was never as direct’, so we did and Eric Sherpion made the picture.
But Proximity BBDO wouldn’t be Proximity BBDO if the story ended here, right? So don’t forget to check out the next Pub issue too, ‘cause the best is yet to come.

Felicitaties van De Post voor onze Cuckoo Awards

We hebben onderstaande brief ontvangen van De Post om ons te feliciteren met onze Cuckoo Awards. Aangezien we al een tijdje onze campagnes aftekenen met Proximity BBDO Team – omdat al ons werk het resultaat is van doorgedreven teamwork – en letterlijk iedereen zijn handen uit de mouwen stak voor het welslagen van ons nieuwjaarsevent tvv Poverello: een dikke proficiat aan IEDEREEN!

Als professionele Direct Marketing partner en tevens ook als sponsor van de Cuckoo awards is De Post uiteraard verheugd jullie met de “Party for Food” een originele Direct Mail campagne ingezonden hebben. Net zoals jullie geloven we heel sterk in de kracht van DM als medium.

MM 27/05/2009 – BBDO heerst op BOA

Voor het tweede jaar op rij waren de Best Of Activation awards een groot succes voor BBDO. Wij mochten niet minder dan zes keer het podium op voor Internet Is Mine (Belgacom), Operation Free Petrol (Makro), Spaar & Pluk (BCC), How Nerdy Are You? (Agoria) en twee keer met Baby Made On Board (Dodge)…

The Best of Activation, from this year on aka The Log Awards.

BOA LogLast night, it was BOA Award Time. Big winners were Tequila and Proximity BBDO, with 6 Logs each, if the alcohol didn’t damage my math skills too much. Tequila won 3 Bronzes, a Silver, a Gold, the Coup de Coeur (press award) and the 360° award for 3 different cases.
Proximity BBDO, most of the time in combination with BBDO-sissters VVL and/or Navajo, took (or better carried) home 6 Logs: a Gold and a Silver for Dodge ‘Baby Made On Board’, Gold for Belgacom ‘Internet is Mine’, Silver for the John McRoe Macro case, another Silver for Bank Card Company and finally a Bronze for Agoria ‘How Nerdy Are You?’.
With 3 other Bronzes for Navajo (Nokia Trend Lab), Darwin (Kazen van bij ons) and N’LIL (EMC Virtual Vision) the BBDO network is now known as ‘The Log Lady’.
Other winners: Happiness (2 Gold, 2 Silver for Toyota) LDV (2 Bronze), Mortier (Gold and Silver) and a number of other agencies winning one log.

The overall quality of the cases is clearly going up, the importance of A Creative Idea is getting bigger and most of the cases are pretty integrated  (too bad the 360° award went to a hardly integrated case). But nevertheless I still heard the word ‘below’ 3 times during presentations and the jury might consider being slightly less generous but than again, who are we to complain: the location was superb, food&drinks, weather and crowd were A OK and my back hurts like hell..

Congrats the whole Proximity BBDO Team and get your backs in shape for next year!

MM Mei-Juni – Proximity van zijn melk

Dit jaar koos Walibi om een campagne te maken rond een aantal attracties in plaats van rond één ’sterattractie’. De campagne concentreerde zich dan ook op de emotie die de bezoekers ervaren in de zeven unieke acties in het park (”The Big 7″): Dalton Terror, Radja River, Vampire, Flashback, Calamity Mine, Weerwolf en Toetanchamon.
